i was at work and when i got home to game my PC was off. i always leave it on in sleep or Hibernation.
i thought maybe and update or antivirus scan shut it down at first. so i hit the button to turn on nothing happend. so i look closer and the power supply is ｆｒｉｅｄ. also my friend said they heard a popping sound from it. compasitors blowing on mobo i assume. could i salvage anything from this rig? like blue ray dvd player/burner and optical for cｄ/dvd read. ram or sound card? what tools would i use to test componets to see if they are still good? i dont mean POST card ｉ ｄｏｎｔ ｗａｎｔ ｔｏ ｐｕｔ ｐｏｗｅｒ ｔｏ ｉｔ ａｎｄ ｂｌｏｗ ａｎｏｔｈｅｒ ｐｏｗｅｒ ｓｕｐｐｌｙ ｏｒ ｒｉｓｋ ａ ｎｙ ｏｔｈｅｒ ｐａｒｔｓ. i ａｍ pretty sure the mobo is done. i want to rebuild a new rig but want to save on the dvd and optic drives Blue ray was 600 when i got it and i wａnt to use if i can.
