About 3 days ago my computer slowed down drastically. The boot up and shutdoen were extremely long. I the did 2 subsequent system restores, but the problem did not improve. I then tried booting into safe mode but could not access safe mode. Subsequently, I did a rstore of Windows xp pro. Now the computer boots up partially and then I get a black screen with the error message 0x00000024 and ntfs.sys message (address B9E4806D base at B9E36E0 , Date stamp 41707eea.However, I can boot in safe mode now. I wanted to run a registry repair program but was afraid it might make things worse. Any suggestions would be welcome. I was thinking of doing a windows xp pro recover again. Please help. Thanks,
mnedil
Cannot run tsg sysinfo on my computer because it does not boot up except in safe mode. I could run this program in safe mode and send you the info. Let me know.
