I have an external usb hard drive (2tb I think) that I ran Microsoft scan disk on I (right click the drive in my computer then tools etc.)
Option to automatically fix errors was checked.
Before the scan I could access the drive and files but was having problems with a certain program so I decided to run the scan. It said it found errors and fixed them from what I saw it didn't look like it recovered any corrupt data files but must of fixed something else.
Now it says I need to format the drive I said NO but now it just hangs if I try to open the drive right click on the drive etc. What is the best way to save my data from getting lost?
Thanks
