Hi,

My client is using Crystal Enterprise 10 on a single server and is getting the message below quite frequently, with no real pattern to what's causing it. It appears to be more frequent since installing a full SP2 about a month ago to resolve a PDF Shrinkage issue. Before I start making changes to the server settings, has anyone any suggestions on either the cause or the solution?

i m running windows server 2003, recently it have been rather weird with its network activities. after some diagnostic, i had notice the dns.exe are listening to a lot of ports. i m not quite sure of my description but it is illustrated by the picture below.

I can not connect to the internet on my Dell inspiron. In my network ans sharing centre it says I am connected to an unidentified network but not the internet and my access is 'Local only'.

I want to set up the Samsung Kies Air facility with my S3 phone but the tutorial asks me to look for Internet Content Sharing for my network connection, unfortunately it does not show. Of course I have changed settings over the years on my computer to make it more safe or other software requires them to be changed etc. but I dont know what needs to be changed in order for this tick box to show.

Hello, my Microsoft headphone/microphone set is not working properly. I tried deleting if from my computer and hard drive to re-install it, but I still see it in my devices in computer. For some reason I can still hear my self through the mic but, when i try to watch a video ro anything like that, the sound comes through my laptop speakers. My headphones used to work before but, I think something got removed causing this problem. However even before,I could not use my mic to communicate with anyone but I could record sound and hear my self through the mic and my headphones worked fine. Now everything is messed up and I don't know what is the problems.

Friends: I want to have a slide show of all my Windows 7 desktop backgrounds, changing every 5 minutes. I click on Select all, then save changes. Once the computer is on, this works well. But once I shut it down and reboot, the settings are lost and only one desktop background is displayed all the time. Is it supposed to work like this? How can I fix this? Windows 7 Ultimate. I have something strange going on with one of my Windows 7 machines. The user states that she logs off the machine and the screen is at the login screen. She leave it on occasionally so she can log in from home. When she comes in, in the morning her machine is off (even if she didn't remote in)? Any ideas on this would be great because I'm at a loss.

Hi Tech Helpers -

So....my work bought me a brand new laptop - Dell Latitude E6520. I've only had it for about two weeks. When my company gets a new computer, they wipe it clean and mirror image it with their server. They also automatically install Kaspersky Antivirus 8.0 and lock it down so it cannot be modified or disabled.

Ok...the problem....

The entire computer is slooowwwww! To the point that I can type a letter or hit the backspace and it slowly types one letter at a time. The Internet loads pages somewhat slowly, but even as I type this email there is a constant delay as the letters appear on my screen. The bootup process takes a long time.

What I've done....

I've run Malwarebytes, Ad-Aware, and Spybot S & D - it found a couple of minor things, but not much.

I just added a SSD to my laptop and reloaded Windows 7. I had a ton of wireless networks setup and I wanted to export them and then import back into my new install. I asked the question in this post a while ago:

When I exported the wireless networks it wanted to save each one as the same file name, SetupSNK.exe, and it would overwrite the file each time I exported. So I exported the each wireless network then added a number to the file name before I exported the next one. Now when I try to import the SetupSNK##.exe it imports the same wireless network no matter what file I choose. Any idea what is going on?

I've been using the Chrome browser for 5-6 months with no probloems, but a few weeks ago, it started to freeze when first started. This will last for 2-10 minutes, then it works perfectly fine. I have been through a whole range of malware and virus checks through this site, and have uninstalled and re-installed Chrome 3 times. I really like using the Chrome browser, hope to find a solution to this problem

Thanks for the help. I have been trying load a login webpage and I can´t access it from my computer as I get timed out. This is a new problem as it didn’t happen a few days ago. The webpage loads fine from other computers but not mine. I have tried different browsers, erasing browser history and cookies, stopping my antivirus with no success. Can anyone give me an idea what to do.

Hi! I have been using Primopdf on several computers for over a year. It has always worked great. Yesterday I started having problems on a computer with windows XP. When printing any page to pdf, PrimoPDF freezes then crashes. I have tried different document types, sources. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have restarted the computer, cleaned it up and tried older versions of PrimoPDF. Nothing seems to be working. Please help!! Thanks!!:confused:

Realplayer only downloads a portion of a video. It completes 30-40% of a video and finishes, with no indication of a problem. I have an old xp and a dial up connection, but it used to work perfectly. I have searched around and i am apparently the only person in the world with this problem, which leads me to believe it is a setting on my computer.I have uninstalled several times no luck. Also.. When i turn off realplayer the close boxes remain on the screen(desktop) and i cannot open realplayer again untill i log off and start again. Whats up with this?:mad:

I upgraded from Word 2003/XP to Word 2007/Win7-64bit recently and lost the macros associated with the old installation. I have been able to recreate all but one. Need help with this one, as it is too complicated for me to create.
The files I need the macro for consist of several hundred lines of comma delimited items, each item has double quotes around them, and the end of each line has a <CR>.
The problem: I need to open this data in Word and make a correction to the "," separation issue that is caused by the database that supplies the data.
Notes: The first item on each line is fixed in length (8 numbers enclosed in quotes) followed by the comma separator. The 2nd item is the one with the issue - a NAME field. If the name field contains 22 characters or less - no problem; AFTER the name and before the DATE field that follows, the normal "," pattern is there (there are examples of these below) followed by the date enclosed in quotes. If the name field contains 23 characters, the "," drops one character and becomes just NAME",DATE - missing the second quote. If the name field contains 24 characters, the "," drops another character and appears as just NAME"DATE. If the field contains 25 characters (the maximum in any of my data), the "," drops yet another character and appears as NAMEDATE with nothing separating them.

I didn't write the lost macro from Word 2003, but am trying to recreate the solution in Word 2007 now. I would imagine a macro that moved past the first 12 characters and looked for a "," would be a good approach. If the "," was there after the 12th position of each line, before it reached a number 0-9, then it could move to the next line. If there was a " or , after the 12th position and it didn't follow the pattern "," then the macro could insert the missing separator component(s), i.e. change a ", into "," | change " to "," | insert a "," between the NAME and DATE when the 40th character is a / - (the / in the date) as this would be the only time the entire "," is missing.

Of course there are probably other methods for cleaning up my data, but this one strikes me as an efficient one, as it can skip many lines of correct data. My data usually has 300 or so lines of data and maybe 10-15 are afflicted with the incorrect format of the "," pattern.

Any and all assistance with this would be greatly appreciated! I don't have much experience with macros in Word, but have been able to find examples for my other macros that were similar enough to what I needed to adjust and recreate those.

Hello I own a HP pavilion dv7 laptop and I'm having trouble connecting to my home connection. My laptop connects to other connections but my desktop PC and gaming console are connecting to the "broken" internet just fine so I'm assuming it's the laptop.


I've tried unplugging the modem/router for minutes, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adapter device ((It now keeps coming up as "unidentified network" instead of the original name for the connection; Should I be concerned??)), and even just stopped using the laptop for a few days to see if somehow that would fix it.


I've troubleshot it and it says theres a problem with my access point/router but I don't see how that's the problem if everything else is working fine. I've spent 3 hours looking into solutions to this problem and I've come accross that the router may not be giving the laptop an IP to connect too but I'm still not sure how to fix this issue or if it's another issue all together.



If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

My ark.txt file was blank. After GMER finished scanning my computer, i heard a notification sound that told me that something wasn't modified or changed or something and I clicked OK and exited the popup then clicked Save... on GMER and saved ark.txt on desktop and it was blank. Just in case you need to know, when scanning, Services, Registry, Files - C:\ where checked and D:\ was unchecked, and ADS.
