Computer won't boot

So i recently upgraded my windows 7 computer to windows 8 and everything worked fine until i tried to run a specific program. I cannot remember the name of the program but it worked fine on windows 7. ET6, i think it was called and what it does is it allows for easy overclocking but doing it automatically without manual interference. This changes the bios. Anyways i ran it a couple days after i updated to windows 8. it completely messed up my computer so i returned the BIOS to its defaults and that still didnt work so i put my thumbstick that has the windows 8 OS on it and restarted my computer. I found that there was no previous backup that i could restore too so i formatted the partition. (also i have two drives a 60GB SDD drive and a 1TB HDD) i formatted both the drives and then tried to install the OS and it appears as if everything works until it restarts after the install and just leaves a blank screen where windows explorer should appear. looking back it might have not been the best idea to format the drives but.... it happens. I would just like to have the OS working (everything is backed up onto an external harddrive before i updated to windows 8)

My computer runs an i5 2500k chip

Thanks all :)
