Sound says its working but isn't (Serious Problem)

So i've been hammering at this problem for the last two days and i've spent about 8 hours researching and trying to figure out exactly what has happened to my computer, first off here is what i am running on.

OS:Windows 7
CPU: intel core 2 Quad CPU 2.4ghz 2400 MHZ 4 core
GPU: Nvidia geforce 9600 gt

its a hewlett packer by HP pavillion the model # is KT378AA-A2L a6552f and the sound drivers i currently have installed are the same that previously worked whick are the realtek HD audio drivers.

So my problem started out with sound working but my mic ports not being recognized by the realtek HD audio manager so i uninstalled the drivers, as this is happening i turn my head away and when i look back the computer turned itself off i start it up again and all is smooth i reinstall the old drivers i had and guess what i have no sound and the realtek HD audio manager is not anywhere on my computer regardless of how many times i download and try to install it from the realtek site and the headphones do work 100%.

I have attached some screenshots of my mixer and sound settings and it clearly shows it working but it is not sending any sound to my headphones. i have tried the back port and i do get some audio but it is mouse-whispher quiet at best when i have all the settings cranked and the port works even when i have it disabled i guess its just the metals in the jack and connector picking it up?, the things i have tried thus far is a BIOS update (Which also reset it) from the HP site for my specific model which has not fixed the problem at all, switiching between all different kinds of drivers.

At this point i am thinking i may have to reset the CMOS data but i am not sure how this would fix the problem its just an idea but i do not really trust myself enough to do it without wrecking it and my system cannot system restore or factory reset.

Im really grasping at straws here and i havent seen anyone else have this problem after 8 hours of surfing...please help...
