VBA to open directory using * filename*.*

Purpose: use part of filename to locate the directory that a file is stored in and open that directory. Extension can be anything and everything (wildcard)

How it would work for me, I doubleclick on filename (without extension) in a cell and macro finds where
file is and opens it up using explorer so that I can then (manually) select from a number of files of same name and work on them independantly of excel. Excel macro code only has to find dir and open it up.

eg: filenames in a directory might be something like

star1.pcb star1.eco star1.vld satr1.gbr etc etc

So using only star1 as the search parameter, find directory and open it.

I underestand and and can do the double click code so that part is not necessary to explain. (I think!
therefore I am! :D)
