Can't connect with my wireless router

I purchased this router almost a year ago and it was working fine for me up until the time I moved back back in June where I boxed it up and wasn't using it because the place I was renting had internet and I simply had the password to log onto their network. Time warner came out this morning to setup my internet and had my wireless router all ready to be setup. It took him well over an hour and I still didn't have my internet setup right because it wouldn't pull up any pages. He confirmed the signal was working and that it was probably the settings with my computer.

I was able to get it working but only with their router's cable being plugged directly into my laptop. Under the network strength bar is a small little yellow triangle and when highlighted it reads Network 4 internet access, Bostonredsox(name of my network) no internet access. For a short time I was able to log into my network on my iphone and browse but even that now that has stopped working.

I have tried to flush the dns and tried ipconfig and nothing seems to work. What may be the problem here? I doubt it's my laptop has I have been able to log into the apartment complex free wifi and wifi other places with no problem. I am trying to save a service call to have someone come out and fix what may be wrong. I don't want to be tied to a desk with the cable plugged in directly as I have a wireless router. Any ideas?
