Recently i did something stupid to try and fix an issues i was having with a program running two instances of itself. So I tried deleting the command from task scheduler but kept coming back. eventually i just disabled it but in the process i tried doing something in the registry and did something stupid. I deleted some entries from old programs that i use to have installed but are longer installed. Then i restarted, nothing worked after that. I went to safe mode and tried to restore a registry backup i had but realized it was too old to work right. I then did a system restore, now it's working and booting up to the normal windows but now i am having problems with the computer freezing every time i try and access administrative tools. Sometimes it is random (meaning not just administrative tools, just usually) and sometimes it doesn't have problems but when it does. first one program stops responding so i try to end it. then i start task manager but it won't come because it isn't responding either. I eventually have to hard boot the computer. I have tried virus scan with both avast and malwarbytes. I have also tried checking the filing system for errors and it seemed to help a bit but i still have the problem. Any help would be appreciated. I have had trouble with system restore in the past i always thought it was because i was running raid through the motherboard. I just don't know what to do at this point. My best guess is that system restore didn't do a very good job. Thank you for any help you can provide.
