Hello,
I actually have two problems, but I will post the second in another request to keep things easier to understand.
This problem is easy to explain. I have a drive that doesn't show in Windows Explorer, but if I open Computer Management, it shows that it exists and is functioning properly.
It is an external drive, connected by USB 2.0, directly to the computer, which is a Dell XPS 410. The drive itself is a Western Digital. It was working fine as of last week (which is when I last noticed; it could have been working until a later date) and I don't recall any additions/subtractions/changes to my system.
I have gone through the drill of shutting the system down, pulling the cable, restarting the system and re-install the cable. It connects fine and I can read it if I use the address line in Windows Explorer.
Being totally at a loss, I am open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Jake
