Hello, I have done many searches and even posted a few times at Microsoft forums, but to no avail. Here is my situation, I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook AMD Athlon II P320 with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Windows Update will not work and my last known update was installed on 15/09/2011. I have done may things as stated in many posts. Like one such set of instructions:
Click Start
Type: cmd
Right click on cmd in start menu and select 'Run as Administrator'
Type: net stop wuauserv
Hit Enter
Type: ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old
Hit Enter
Type: net start wuauserv
Hit Enter
Type: exit
Hit Enter
Attempt to download updatess:
This did not work. After trying other things. I finally end up with a pop up window that states:
Windows could not start the Windows Update Service on local computer
Error 126 The specified module could not be found.
I have also done some research and decided to include some scans for your reading pleasure. Not sure if it will be of any use but here goes.
