neat document scanner - missing files

My brother has the Neat system at his bar. The other day there was a computer error that they clicked yes to. not sure what the error said. Now all the images that were scanned in are missing. I have checked everywhere that I can think of. I've reviewed info on the net. They have called neat tech support and nothing.
Any ideas?????
