Can't install Windows 8 Error =0x80070002

I am really having problems installing Windows 8. I have Windows 7 and I have an ASUS Touch Screen with 80 gigs on C drive, and 600 gigs on D drive. I managed to free up the necessary 20 gigs on the C drive (couldn't figure out how to remove the partition between C and D), and when I try to install Windows 8, I get an error message that says "Setup is unable to launch Install.exe. The system cannot find file specified [Error =0x80070002]."

Should I just call Microsoft and tell them to refund my purchase of Windows 8?
