Dear Friends,
Eleven months ago I purchased the above software, the warranty period lasted 90 days. Subsequent to that period updates became available, especially service pack two, which is offered as a free download when I open the programme. When I try to download and install the update it completes 99% but then fails with the following long error message :-
Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly component (5617BF-49-9195-4c35-B9AD-F8D165- DE225BB) A RESULT OX800700B7.
Trying to deal with Corel Technical support has proved a nightmare, you do not seem easily to be able to contact them on the telephone and if you try to use their web site you are asked for a code which I did not have. In desperation I phoned the Sales Line who said I could have the code if I purchased a "ticket" for £19 sterling. I can understand the 90 day warranty applying to the original purchase, but was surprised to be asked to pay for a problem with updates well after the 90 days. I am not adverse to paying the fee but my experiences with Corel on this matter have proved such a hassle I am reluctant to deal with them over the internet.
I have version V 14.1.0.5 of the software and my O.S. is Windows XP Home edition. I wonder please whether any other member has come across this error message and has any idea how to overcome it.
Thank you,
