I had purchased used an HP G62 laptop with W7 Home installed
4 gb ram & 160 gb hdd
the price was right but I do suspect that the seller knew of this problem hence the sale.
I expected some hiccup with the unit but not this one:
Boots up just fine all programs work, But after a few minutes whether running a program or online, It will randomly hang with the cursor displaying that lovely spinning wheel.
the screen then will go a light grey shade until it comes back to life after a minute or two.
I have lived with the problem till now and am looking for a cause of this, since it is getting annoyingly old to deal with waiting for it to un-freeze. ( do i mean thaw ? Ha ha )
To add to the 'misery loves company' thought , I have ck'ed HP forums and this seems to be a common problem with alot of Laptops from them if not others as well.
And what really sucks is i do not have the laptop's W7 key or a new W7 disk to work with so no fresh install.
Any ideas ?
