no wireless internet on win xp Home

Hi - I just did a complete reinstall of win xp home on my IBM T422372 4WU. Everything seems to work just fine, except that I cannot connect wirelessly to the net. I have tried everything, but cannot get connected. The device hardware is all working, including the network card. I have tried installing new drivers. But no go. Any thoughts.
