I am a computer user pure and simple - most of your instructional NOTES need to be in simple 4 letter words - Recently upgraded my system to Win 7 - rapidly discarded the free Email bundle Win LIVE - downloaded Ms Office outlook 2007 worked well for about 4 weeks this am after opening my Ms Office 2007 mail with 5 new messages in the "in" box - received the message MS OUTLOOK HAS STOPPED WINDOWS WILL CLOSE PROGRAMME AND HUNT FOR A SOLUTION.
Repeated attempts at this and that, including a "safe" start using the Ctrl button as instructed achieved nothing except that the 5 new unopened messages had now multiplied themselved to a monstrous 20 copies of each.
Found multi multi examples of the same problem on the web, none of the offered solutions worked for me. in desperation I rebooted , clicked on "Start" selected programmes>MsOffice 2007>updates etc which I selected and after about 45 minutes of downloading procedures it rebooted and the whole problem disappeared everything was back to perfect working order.
I cannot speak as a computer boffin but I felt the successful solution came from me looking for updates in the actual Ms Office Outlook software programme instead of updates in my newly installed WIN 7.:)
