USB Internet Dongle

Lately i`m having trouble with a usb internet dongle. Sometimes i`ll plug it in, it`ll connect to the internet,i`ll watch some stuff on-line for about an hour and then the internet connection is lost. The dongle will sometimes tell me i`m still connected and the laptop tells me i`m connected and then sometimes the dongle says i`m connected but the laptop will say i`m not. I unplug the dongle, plug it back it in and again it`ll say i`m connected but i still don`t have any internet and then after a minute or so i get the yellow triangle to say i have no internet and sometimes the dongle will say theres no coverage even though i had full coverage a while before.
The dongle is new and it`s a HiLink E353.
I`ve checked the usb ports on the laptop with a mouse and they both work.
Anyone any idea what could be the problem?
I`m wondering is it the dongle or something with the laptop?
