I have been having issues with the computer suddenly shutting down on me when I'm either playing a game or watching video. I decided to see what was going on with the temperatures using Speccy and tonight I realized that there's some major temperature issues going on.
When I first looked at the CPU temp, it read 92C, then it jumped to 98C... then I saw it go to 100C. And then I registered for this amazing site! Thanks for being here.
When I looked back at the temperature, I noticed that it had dropped to 0C then spiked back up to 100C several times. And as I type this, I see that it's flatlined at 0C for a while now. I'm going to open up the case and blow out the fan (which I know is working) as well as the heatsink. Any other suggestions?
Also, the motherboard temp has been reading between 80C and 82C.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
