Alarming my computer

Looking for something i can install on my computer that will alert me immediately when someone has gotten remote access and onto to my computer.

The reason I say immediately is b/c they generally will disable it once they get on so if you don't notice them right away, you may not notice them at all.

Looking for something, or 2 different that would apply to both Linux/ubuntu and W7.
