Online Class Site Questions

I take classes on line. I have to log into the class site to get to the library portal site. The error comes when I try to log in on the library site, it request for me to put in my username and password again. When I do this, the site give an error. so I refresh and have to put in username and password again. Then site gives and error. On the third attempt, I refresh and the site takes me striaght to the library to utilize whatever I need to do. Why are their so many request for username and password when I do not need them to get on the portal? What I have learned is if I refresh a couple times the site goes directly to the library access for me to utilize.

Second question, when using the school site, sometimes when I press the icon to link to different browsers, fb, twitter, google, the displayed contents are blocked and the pictures do not show up, only some words on the sides.
