In Windows XP that I have on a different partition both Firefox and IE8 have stopped responding.
The home page will load but when I try to go to any of the bookmarks, nothing happens. When I go to close the browser I get a message that says this program is not responding. This just started this afternoon. I haven't recently added any new programs, I scanned with both Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials and both scans came up clean.
I am not having this problem in Windows 7. The next question is why am I still running XP?
I am trying to get my wife to switch but she is very resistant to anything that might be a little different when it comes to technology. I might have to just tell her that XP is too old.
In the meantime does anyone have any ideas about what may be causing this?
