I have only made sporadic entries in Quicken 2010 for the past 1 1/2 years. I need to quickly get some current data to make budget changes. I set up the download feature with my bank and did a test. I have decided that I prefer to manually enter transactions. I entered all of September and October 2012. I started to reconcile my September paper bank statement. The beginning balance in Quicken did not match the beginning balance in my statement so I changed it to match my statement. I reconciled a few entries (started with deposits and checks). The statement beginning date included much of August so I selected "Finish later" and I went back into the account and entered those transactions. When I went back to the reconcilliation screen those transactions did not apprear. I decided to start over so I unchecked the transactions that I had reconciled. I started a new reconcilliation and the same transactions did not appear. I am wondering if this has something to do with the download set-up and that I am not using the download feature. Can you please tell me what I need to do to fix this problem? I would also like to disable the download set-up as I prefer to manually enter transactions. Thank you~
