I just bought a new computer and want to move my old hard into it, rather than running a cable between the two PC's. Once I installed the old HDD into the new computer, the new F drive did show up. It let me browse around the Windows files and what not, but when I tried to access the user files (the only thing I need) it told me I was not authorized, and asked if I wanted to grant myself permanent access. I said yes, waited for the process to complete, then tried entering the user files again the following error came up:
Location is not available. F:\ is not accessible. The device is not ready.
Restarted my computer several times. Now, I can't even get past the My Computer hard drive screen and into F:. I get the same error message as before. I can't access the Windows files, nor does my PC recognize the amount of available space on the hard drive, etc. It just recognizes that it's plugged in.
Any advice? Some specs below.
