Lately, for no explain-able reason, whenever I play a movie every 5-15 minutes I get a glitch with the picture getting stuck, audio replaying itself for a few seconds, screen turns black and everything goes back to normal, with a pop-up appearing informing me that my graphic kernel was shut down and has been restored.
I have attempted updating graphics driver (using the 310.64 nvidia beta one, after the latest didn't solve it), updated windows to latest version, and followed advices given on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2665946 with no effect.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? It has occured to me while playing movies in SMPlayer, as well as in streaming online media.
