I just upgraded my Windows 7 setup to Windows 8 and I'm sort of regretting it now. It takes around 3 minutes to shut down sometimes. It just displays the plain screen with "Shutting Down" and the rotating orb for 3 minutes then shuts down. And if I close my laptop's lid during this, next time I open it, I *still* see that screen. So my laptop goes to sleep *while* shutting down and wakes up in the same state. This blows my mind.
Also, another issue. If my laptop goes to sleep automatically because of very little battery left. Then if I connect my charger and try to wake it up, it takes around 3-4 minutes here as well.
Any clue how to troubleshoot these problems? Priority being the shut down problem.
