it's a year and a half old, and I've barely used it since it's soooooo slow and messy.
Can't exchange it because of a problem with the warranty, and if I want to repair it with the original manufacturer I might as well buy a new laptop (from a different brand X_x)
Specs: HP DM4-1162SF
Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows*7 Édition Familiale Premium, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 450 @ 2.40GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5
Processor Count: 4
RAM: 3893 Mb
Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics, 1722 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 451848 MB, Free - 396411 MB; D: Total - 24786 MB, Free - 3623 MB;
Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard, 1603
Antivirus: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012, Updated and Enabled
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated.
I tried a few diagnostics software that didn't tell me much
aside from the fact that it performs below standards for this model.
And tested the Ram to see if the problem came from there.
The ram test results were normal performance.
But that's as far as I got without opening it up.
I really want to fix it myself if I can,
so if you could suggest some diagnostic tools that could help me figure out what the problem is
or some tools to open it up and dig in.
and below are the symptoms with no other programs running:
Major lag: can't even see what I type as I type it 80% of the time
Music: can't play a single song without the sound breaking up and screeching
Video: Can't play video without stopping and pixelating every few minutes
Firefox: the image freezes or black's out completely whenever it feels like it
Chrome: stays on top, so I have to minimize it if I want to look at anything else
Word: can't see what I type, which is a problem when it skips letters I type on top of regular typoes that take forever to fix.
Thank you for any assistance or pointers you can give me.
