Hi
Not sure if I am in the right forum, this might be a software problem.
Recently my wife bought a new Lenovo G560 model name 2689 factory ID KS.
This laptop was supplied with Windows 7 installed together with a Lenovo package of software.
Most of the time the computer behaves itself but now and again it responds to pressure on any key with an unstoppable series of "1" s.
Lenovo helpline suggested reinstalling using the inbuilt software but this loses all data. At the moment this is not too big a problem as the computer has not been used much, but in the future it could be a major inconvenience.
Firstly:- Is this likely to be a hardware problem?
Secondly:- If it is a software problem is a permanent cure possible?
Thirdly:- Would it be wiser to return the computer under guarantee and buy a different brand of computer in the same price range? (It should be noted that my wife likes the colour and says that it has a nice feel to the keyboard)
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
regards
phil
