I have a 10/100 network with 4 wired PC's attached all running Windows XP pro. The architecture is as follows
Virgin Media Super Router connected to fiber internet 60mg internet connection - this is connected to a 4 port netgear switch in the upstairs part on my house. one cat 5 cable links it with the study downstairs into another where there is another netgear 4 port switch. This switch has two pc's attached, one Western Digital NAS and another Netgear wireless router which in turn has two pc's attached. Wireless devices pick up the internet no problem but the four pc's take about an hour to acquire an IP address. This is a fairly new problem, the system has actually worked fine for years.
Any Ideas why?
