Tech Support Guy has the most threads on how to remove MS Works but none of them seem to do it for me.
I am using Windows 7. Works was preinstalled. I have a fairly small solid state disk which is filling up. I never use works.
There is no Control panel Add/remove programs entry.
The 3rd part Revo and Zsoft and "Macecraft jv16 PowerTools 2012" uninstallers all do not list Works.
The microsoft uninstaller program is no longer available from microsoft and does not run when I downloaded it anyway.
The most promising solution seems to be to find the installer program (sometimes 4657B.msi) and rename it "works8.msi"

However I have no file 4657B.msi
This microsoft forum sugests a method of searching for the relevant installer

By chaing displaying the View>Details>Subject in C:\Windows\Installer and looking for the subject that mentions works and none of the subjects mention works so I have been unable to find the install file that corresponds to works.
There are lots of hits for works in the registry - things like workspace.
So I spent a couple of hours trying to remove this horrible unused program and failed. My C drive is still red.
I guess that with the popularity of solid state drives for speed there must be a lot of people with clugged up C drives. There is a whole load of stuff in there that is not mentioned in either Revo or Zsoft. It would be cool to see program that allowed uninstall of more junk in there. There are also tons of temporary files and folders but I am not sure which ones it is okay to delete. I deleted some temp files more than ten days old in the safest setting using jv16 PowerTools 2012.
