Dear Forum, Here is my system information:
Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3, 32 bit
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, x86 Family 15 Model 43 Stepping 1
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 2047 Mb
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600, 256 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 476937 MB, Free - 447306 MB;
Motherboard: MICRO-STAR INTERNATIONAL CO., LTD, MS-7185
Antivirus: Norton Internet Security, Updated: Yes, On-Demand Scanner: Enabled
An interesting problem. My pc has three administrator screens. One of them, and so far, only one, loads the Desktop Screen icons, very very slowly. This started happening about the time that a user, not I, began doing on-line dissertation research. And that only started a few weeks, ago. So, this is a recent situation. Is there any connection? Why haven't the other two screens been affected that way? Not that I'm complaining!!
I have had many favorite places on this other administrator's log-on and nothing "naughty," and no problems. I do visit foreign newspapers and some security analysis sites on her log-on. I've got Superantispyware and Malwarebytes also. And I'm always cleaning up, whichever desktop I use. Can't get a handle on it. I'm afraid that one of these days I won't get any icons on her desktop, altogether.
Steve
