IP address error

I got a new Bravia smart tv and i cant connect to the internet. It is an eircom router! I entered the Ip address manualy ans automaticaly but it still does not work. I get the following message

wireless device on tv.....found
local access .................failed
internet access.............failed


Any suggestions how i could correct this??
