This is a recent problem. I have a dual monitor setup, and I can switch where the audio comes from between one (my monitor and normal speakers) or the other (my HDTV). I usually just click "Playback devices" and change the default device for audio. This worked up until today, and I have no freaking clue why. Nothing on my system has changed whatsoever. No new programs, no Windows Updates, nothing. It worked yesterday, I turned off the computer and went to bed, and today it's not working.
To be more clear, I can still change the audio of almost everything to be on one or the other. Winamp is fine, video players are fine, system sounds are fine. What does not change, however, is where Flash sends audio. It started with me not being able to send it to the television. Then I updated Flash and it went there fine. Now, however, I can't change it back. I have no clue why. It makes no sense whatsoever. I looked at the Flash settings, and there's nothing there that has anything to do with audio playback. Now Flash audio is on the television even if the rest of my audio is back on the computer. Here's the kicker. If I have the sound switched to the computer, Flash plays no sound at all on either system, but everything else plays fine. If I switch to the television, everything plays over there, including Flash.
I looked everywhere online for a solution, and no one else seems to be having this problem. Please help!
