AVG "There are no active components"
All AVG components are now turned off and won't urn back on. AVG cannot be uninstalled. This was after a fresh install of Windows Vista. I downloaded a "stand alone" version of AVG from the AVG web site, but it wouldn't install without an Internet connection. I connected the LAN cable and restarted the AVG install. Computer was uprotected while AVG was installing which took a long time. Firefox later had pop up web sites: "Best Buy Electronics" and a few others.

excel 2010 Pivot Table error
I have a pivot table that displays totals for month. It is an eating diary I downloaded off the web

Up until yesterday I had no problems with livemail syncing my 4 email accounts.
After a scheduled update - .Net Framework 4.5.2 - my laptop went to reboot and came back with BSOD ..aggghhhh.
Powered off and restarted and went through the startup repair facility. All fixed and rebooted OK except my Hotmail account is now not syncing and I receive this message -
Unable to send or receive messages for the Msn (kevhatch) account.
Server Error: 0x80072EFF
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x80072EFF
All other accounts are fine.
I've done a system restore and deleted the account and reinstalled to no avail, all I get is an empty pane with the message - Windows Live Mail is synchronizing this account. Check back in a few minutes to read your messages. - which stays for hours!
I can access Hotmail through my browser but would like to sort this if possible.
I've searched on the net and can't find any up to date help on the issue, hoping you guys/gals can help me out.

Hi. Hope someone can help me with this. I have a dell desktop pc and it has gone from super fast to ultra super slow. I contacted Microsoft tech support and they did a remote check and told me it was caused by too many useless and repeticious files on my hard drive and said they could fix it and give me service for a year for $249. I am on social security and cannot afford this and found tech guy and started praying. Otherr than slow, I get error messages say "an error has occurred", even got it on tech guy new users video just a few minutes ago.anyone who can do a remote check is very very welcome. Oh, I use windows 7. thanks

Solved: RAW thumbnails
I am trying to find a way so that I get an actual thumbnail of the image in my cr2 files. The codec from Microsoft which is supposed to provide this facility does absolutely nothing and all I see is the cr2 icon. I have Photoshop CS6 installed but that doesn't seem to help. The images are fine in photoshop, it's just the thumbnail that doesn't seem to provide an image.:mad:

Accidently ran a fake .mp4 file. Anyway to trace it to it's intsallation path?
I should've been more careful and checked the extension of it but here's the story. I was downloading videos from YouTube and once downloaded, I obliviously clicked it. It's had no effect on my PC so far. I'm worried it will have an effect sooner or later.

screen magnifier

Mouse stutter/freezes for a split second.
Hello there I need help with my mouse.
The problem is whenever im doing some thing on desktop the mouse just stutters for a split second. Once it even disconnected and reconnected after 5 seconds. After that I changed the USB port it was plugged into. I changed it from 2.0 to 3.0 (not that it did much) but I did it incase the port was broken. After I changed the port the "stutter" still appears.
It started happening a couple of days ago 2-4. I might have gotten a virus because one day it was normal the other day its broken.
Today I reinstalled windows 8.1 and downloaded new drivers for the mouse. Yet no luck.
Now the strange thing is. I dont think I have experienced this in any games. I play Counter Strike Global Offensive and no stutter there.

How can I restore desktop icons after they get shifted around?
Windows 7 home pro: I have been having a recurring problem where my icons will keep resetting themselves after a boot-up. It is maddening to have to keep rearranging them over and over again. The settings should be fine as I just got back from my tech guy and I watched the machine boot up multiple times with icons intact. But there used to be an app, Iconoid, I think it was- that would restore icons after an emergency shutdown or something. But it won't work on Windows 7. Any ideas?

motherboard:gigabyte 965pds3
ram:1gb 800mhz veritech ram * 4
First year i had 2 slot ram. After year i bought 3. slot ram and after 2 months I bought 4. slot ram
After I had 4 slot ram,Sometimes system doesn't give openning first bip sound and there is no screen on lcd If I remove any ram on the motherboard.This happens only if I remove any ram and trying system to be openned with 4 slot ram
for example
2 or 1 slot ram putting on motherboard always system works perfect
3 or 4 slot rams putting on motherboard system sometimes does not work. no openning bip sound and no screen(sometimes).
I solved this problem with this:
firstly putting 2 lot ram to motherboard. system work then putting third one.İf system work putting fourth one.If system does not work ı remove fourth one and openning with 3ram slot and then again putting fourth one until system work preferly. If system start with 4 ram slot,works perfectly until ı remove ram on the system.There is no blue screen no freeze no errors if system works.

Contagious Virus Problem
I have a very serious computer problem the last couple of months which I can't solve. So the symptom is simple: When surfing the web using Firefox, pop ups appear very often. Every couple minutes the browser is "freezing" in a way that when I click somewhere in the browser instead of doing the action it is supposed to do, it is popping offer.aliexpress add or another add usually of a selected few. Then the browser is released and continue to act as it should.
OK so it is a simple adware, only it is not so simple: The problem occurs on all computers on my network (actually, when all my computers had NOD antivirus it was exactly the same problem on all of them, now, I have one computer with Kaspersky Internet Security and the others have Norton Internet Security. I am having pop ups on my computer having Kaspersy but on the computer having Noton it blocks the pop ups and alerts it blocks an attack from some address... And they say Kaspersky is the best...).
I couldn't get rid of this even though I scanned with all main scanners (Antivirus scan and adware scans). Maybe it will sound weird for you but I figured my best choice is to format all the computers on my network. I did it simultaneously a and didn't use restores but a fresh installations. And I reseted my router. It didn't help.
I want to ask the experts here what might be the problem. Can my router be problematic or you think it is some program on one computer that injects adware that spreads to all my network computers? Maybe the problem is with my ISP???

Solved: Nvidia update gone wrong.
I tried to launch minecraft and as I did I got a message saying driver not detected or something, so I clicked the link to see what was wrong and it brought me to the nvidia website saying I had to install the latest driver or something. After installing the driver it made me restart my computer, after I restarted it I saw the asus logo like usual and then it went to a yellow screen I was so confused because it didn't let me do anything I couldn't bring up the search, the desktop anything! I tried messing with the monitor resolution ( with the help of my dad) but nothing happened so I tried unplugging everything from my cpu, restarting my computer everthing. I am very confused and when someone answers this, please use as much detail as possible because I am only a 13 year old that knows nothing about computer except for the basics. Thank you!

creating a playlist that plays on computer and iPad
I want to create a simple playlist on the computer, then access it on my iPad. I created the playlist on my computer, then opened "Music" on my iPad, and I see the name of the list....but when I click on it, it says "no songs." Can someone just walk me through this? I know it should be super simple. I confess I detest iTunes; I find it totally obtuse and non-intuitive. Any help appreciated!
